We learn in the Talmud that “your task isn’t to finish the job, but you aren’t free from trying either” Pirket Avot (2:26). So, what is this job? Tikkun olam– repairing the world. It’s a tall order. How do we actually do it?
We believe that anyone can start the job of repairing the world by meeting the Good People we support and hearing how they help others. The material in this section is directed to students, parents and teachers, and offers resources and activities related to tzedakah (doing the right thing) and mitzvot (good deeds).
You don’t have to do everything they do, or do things the way they do. You simply have to discover what you’re good at that can help others and then apply yourself to just do it. Remember, you don’t have to finish the
job, but . . .
We’ll be pleased to help you tailor a tzedakah project to your specific needs or circumstances. Please contact us for more information.
